Products
We recommend our Cast Brass Material products since that is the most heavy-duty material of all three materials we have (cast brass, stainless steel, and cast aluminum).
To keep your fixtures performing at their best:
- Clean regularly using a soft, dry cloth
- Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials
- Ensure proper drainage unless rated for full submersion (IP68)
- Periodically check wiring and connections
- Handle fixtures and LED strips carefully to avoid damage
Routine maintenance will help extend the lifespan of your lighting system.
If your LED strip isn’t turning on, try the following:
- Verify the power supply is connected and functioning
- Check polarity (+/-) connections
- Inspect for any loose or damaged wiring
- Confirm the transformer or driver is properly sized and operational
If the issue persists, the strip or power supply may need to be replaced.
Additionally, flickering or dimming is typically caused by one of the following:
- Voltage drop over long runs
- Loose or poor connections
- Overloaded power supply
- Incompatible dimmer or controller
Check all connections, confirm your power supply capacity, and ensure compatibility across all components.
Returns & Refunds
Your 100% satisfaction is important for us. We offer a 30-days Return & Exchange Policy:
- If a product gets damaged or was faulty upon a delivery - we offer 100% refund.
- Timing: we have a 30-days Return & Exchange Policy, since the day item was received.
- To be eligible for a return, goods must be unopened, unused, undamaged and accompanied by proof of purchase.
- For returns, please visit our Returns Portal to initiate the returns process.
- Customer with be provided with instructions on where to send returned goods after filling out the form. Customers are strongly recommended to get proof of postage when returning goods to avoid "lost packages" situations.
- When the returned item is received and inspected, the customer receives a confirmation email notifying about the status of the refund. If the item has been used or is not in brand-new condition, refunds may be denied.
- If the refund is approved, then it will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to the customer's credit card or original payment method shortly after. It should reflect within 1 to 5 business days, depending on the payment method used.
Our return policy is 1 month. If you are unsatisfied with material, please try contacting our support before returning.
It usually takes 1-5 business days to process refunds once we issue the refund after we complete the inspection of the returned item in the warehouse.
If the item was defective, we will cover the return shipping 100%. If the customer finds they simply don't like the item or its color, ordered too many, or finds it simply won't work for them, then they would be responsible for the return shipping or cover it under the Unlimited Returns service. Any orders received without an RMA number will not be accepted.
At this time, we do not provide extended warranty options. However, we are committed to helping resolve any issues and will work with you to find a fair solution whenever possible.
Shipping & Delivery
We provide Free Standard Shipping with all orders and have optional Expedited Shipping which is calculated based on the total items in your order.
Once your order is shipped out, you will receive an email with your tracking information included so you may track your package every step of the way.
Shipping times range for all cities and states. Our free shipping is sent with ground shipping which can take anywhere from 3-5 business days and at times much faster.
The majority of our orders are shipped out of our warehouse in Los Angeles, CA. Our other vendors may ship them in their respective warehouse also within California or other states, depending on the inventory and availability.
Technical and Troubleshooting
Can I use an extension cord with low-voltage lighting?
Extension cords are not recommended for permanent installations. They may be used temporarily if rated for outdoor use, but proper low-voltage wiring should be used for long-term setups.
What wire gauge should I use?
Wire size should be selected based on both the total wattage and the length of the run. Longer distances or higher loads require thicker wire to prevent performance issues. Always refer to a voltage drop chart for guidance.
What is voltage drop and why is it important?
Voltage drop happens when electrical power decreases over long wire runs. This can result in dim lights, flickering, or reduced lifespan of your fixtures.
To minimize voltage drop:
- Use thicker wire
- Choose higher voltage systems (e.g., 24V)
- Add additional power feed points when needed
How do I choose the right transformer size?
Start by calculating your total wattage:
(Wattage per fixture × number of fixtures)
Then add a 10–15% buffer for safe operation.
Example:
A 100W transformer should ideally run at no more than 85–90W.
For larger systems, consider splitting the load across multiple transformers.
Most outdoor lighting fixtures are designed to be weather-resistant, but not all are fully submersible. Always check the IP rating:
- IP65/IP67 = rain and weather-resistant
- IP68 = fully waterproof (submersible)
Why are my lights flickering?
Flickering is usually caused by loose connections, voltage drop, or overloading the transformer. Check all wiring connections and confirm your system is within the recommended load capacity.
Why are some lights dimmer than others?
This is often due to voltage drop, especially on longer wire runs. Lights farther from the transformer may receive less power. Upgrading wire gauge or adding another power feed can help resolve this.
Why did my lights stop working completely?
Common causes include:
- Tripped transformer or breaker
- Faulty wiring connection
- Burned-out fixture or bulb
Start by checking power at the transformer, then inspect wiring and individual fixtures.
Why are my lights burning out too quickly?
Premature failure can be caused by:
- Excess voltage
- Poor connections
- Moisture intrusion
- Overloading the system
Using the correct voltage and proper installation methods will help extend lifespan.
Why is my transformer not turning on?
Make sure the transformer is properly plugged in, the outlet is working, and any timers or photocells are set correctly. Also check for overload protection being triggered.
What materials are your fixtures made from?
Our outdoor lighting fixtures are built using durable materials such as aluminum, brass, and stainless steel, designed to withstand outdoor conditions and resist corrosion.
Which material is best for outdoor lighting?
Each material has its benefits:
- Aluminum – lightweight and cost-effective
- Brass – highly durable and corrosion-resistant
- Stainless steel – strong with a modern finish
The best choice depends on your environment and design preference.
How long do LED outdoor lights last?
LED fixtures are designed for long-term use and can last tens of thousands of hours, depending on usage and installation conditions.
How do I maintain my outdoor lighting system?
Basic maintenance includes:
- Cleaning fixtures regularly
- Checking wiring connections
- Ensuring proper drainage
- Replacing damaged components (bulbs) when needed
Routine upkeep helps maintain performance and appearance.
Will outdoor lighting rust or corrode over time?
Quality materials are designed to resist corrosion, but environmental factors like moisture, salt air, and debris can still affect longevity. Choosing the right material and performing regular maintenance will help prevent issues.
Dimming low-voltage lighting depends on using compatible components. Make sure your transformer, dimmer, and fixtures are all designed to work together. Not all LED fixtures are dimmable, so always confirm product specifications before installation. For best results, use a dimmer specifically rated for low-voltage LED systems.
Many low-voltage lighting systems are designed for DIY installation and can be set up with basic tools. However, for larger projects, complex layouts, or if you're unsure about wiring, working with a licensed professional is recommended to ensure safety and optimal performance.
Most LED bistro string lights are not designed to be cut, but technically, it can be done, but with safety procedures. An example would be our low-voltage 12V SL101 and SL102. If you cut them into shorter lengths, you must ensure that the two wires coming out of the cut will not touch each other and must be properly insulated and waterproofed. Many models can be extended by connecting multiple strands together, up to the manufacturer’s maximum run length. Always check product guidelines before modifying or linking strands. Cutting the bistro lights will void its warranty.
